Used to come here every year in my teen years...moved on to going to Colorado and now have my own teens to bring here! The weather was CRAZY warm, but the skiing was still surprisingly decent. It got a little icy toward the end of the day as runs started to be covered in shade. Can't wait to make this... More

Great runs, fast lifts that hardly ever had to stop, no crowds, good food at the lodges that was reasonably priced, adult 2 day lift ticket appox $100, wide open runs, convenient parking and close to the action in Deadwood. I recommend Edge Sports for rentals which is about 2 mi before you get to the ski area.

This place is awesome. Has many different slopes for all levels of experience. I was learning and could have just paid for the beginner level ski lift access instead of all area access to save a little money, this place is spendy. The lodge was reasonably priced and food was ready, instead of ordering and waiting. I didn't like how... More

This is an excellent value. I grew up near Tahoe and the ticket prices there are outrageous. Terry Peak is quite reasonable and it has diverse terrain to suit all levels of ability.

Black Hills best kept secret is that it is a great winter destination on the scale of Jackson Hole. Great skiing in Lead S.D. about 5 miles from Deadwood. Over 100 miles of snow mobile trails. Great historical area where Wild Bill Hickcock was shot. Casinos in Deadwood are mostly in historical buildings. Mt. Rushmore is open year around and... More

Great time at Terry Peak for a New Years Ski Weekend. Our young grandchildren took ski lessons and loved there experience skiing. We were impressed with the ski area and very reasonable prices of lessons, ski rentals and lift tickets. Great Value compared to Colorado pricing. We enjoyed the lodge at the base, spending time watching the skiers from the... More

Im a 43 yr old long time snowboarder. There were no benches at the offload area to help ease stapping in. Many large ski areas offer this as a courtesy, as not all boarders are 17 anymore. Also, NO HALFPIPE! A halfpipe is a staple for a ski /snowboard area. Please install one. Bottom line: Terry needs to invest more... More

Such a great way to spend our Christmas vacation, the people running the ski lifts were so patient and wonderful. It was so fun!

They did not have all trails open on the day we went December 29th. We did not find much fresh powder at all, and it was icy, but still fun to get out and board. We LOVED how fast the chair lifts were for the blue and black diamond hills, that was an excellent feature, but that is a very... More

might have been 4 years since i last skied here. High-speed quad lifts for blue & black slopes kept lines moving. being "single" skier also helped - they put you in to fill load. usual conditions: nice snow which got icy later in day not many slopes open yet but that'll improve as season goes on. as mentioned, the road...
