This was one of our better decisions on our cross country trip. What a exciting vibe this town has. It's a must see while in S. Dakota

We went here and started at the visitors center and talked about what we could do with the kids here. Not a lot other than being a tourist and walking the shops. Most places have kids menus for eating but this is not a place...More

We drove through Old Town but didn't see anything that we wanted to see there so just went on our way. It looked a little touristy to us.

You can believe this used to be a Wild West Town and there is no harm in having a USP. That said, you are left with the feeling this is a tourist trap, milking a few historic events, for all the money they can make....More

Great attractions, great old West feel. Went to see Wild Bill shoot out at the 8 Saloon, very entertaining , a bit long winded but the shoot out in the street was something to see.

Was really looking forward to this place, but I am sorry to say it didn't live up to expectactions. The main street was a bit tacky, although the cigar bar was good. Some good bars behind the main street.

Has the feel that is was built for tourism even though the town is old. Was there in September and town was pretty dead. Stopped in a couple of places. Everyone was nice and had a great conversation at Saloon #10. If you are visiting...More

Deadwood has some great history. Stopped in and enjoyed #10 Saloon. Checked out the Silverado Casino and wandered Main Street. If you’re traveling through make a stop here.... travel safe...
