In our attempt to see an "Old Western Town" we made the mistake of driving forty miles out of our way off of I-90 just to see this so-called tourist attraction. The fee parking garage and the cemetery were the only sites to see --...More

Great attractions, great old West feel. Went to see Wild Bill shoot out at the 8 Saloon, very entertaining , a bit long winded but the shoot out in the street was something to see.

Was really looking forward to this place, but I am sorry to say it didn't live up to expectactions. The main street was a bit tacky, although the cigar bar was good. Some good bars behind the main street.

The town is a good place to spend the day walking around, visiting the shops and catching the re enactments that take place in different locations throughout the day.

There were some cool buildings, but there was a lot more tourist shops with gift shops and souvenirs shops. Tacky. The majority of pre 1900 buildings were destroyed in two fires so much of what you’re seeing was built in the last century and not...More

Great old town full of history and great architecture. It has a new wonderful visitors center with very helpful people. Sadly though the town is very touristy. The parts we loved were the old buildings, the quaint shops, the train station. Unfortunately all the museums...More

Deadwood was looking pretty dead when we visited which meant easy parking and no queuing for anything. The main street is picturesque but because most everything there was gambling and drinking related - not much of real interest. The various casinos etc were all looking...More

In June when we visited across the street from The #1 Saloon there was a courtyard with stage w/musicians performing on Saturday. I'm guessing this was a regular happening. Band sounded good too! We were all invested in... More
