This new Welcome Centre opened in the summer of 2017. The location of the Chamber of Commerce/Visitors Bureau is incorrect on the map. The building is at 501 Main St. in a large parking lot where Highway 14 and Main Street cross. It is near...More

Now don't get me wrong the other visitor centre is still interesting but this one is better. First thing is it has free parking. We parked here. Went inside for information then walked to main street. The lady inside was really helpful and gave us...More

First off, this has moved from the south end of town, to the north end of town on US 85/14. It is brand new this year, has free parking for Deadwood visitors, a trolley stop and a lot of information about Deadwood and some nice...More

The visitor centre was very well appointed and the people so friendly and helpful, which was very useful as our Titan tour only stopped at Deadwood for an hour. It was so good to visit this famous old town, even though I gather that it...More

We stopped in to see what there was to do in town. They have lots of information and brochures. I particularly liked the historical information on the famous people who lived and died there. Definitely worth a stop.

We were told the Visitor's Center just opened in May 2017. It is very nice - modern, yet historical, and a great place to start your tour of the area. The man working was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Gave us some good tips. They provide...More

I'm not sure if there are two different locations for the visitors center. The one we went to was at the base of main street and was quite new. We were told it cost a LOT and went way over budget. There is a good-sized...More

We stopped here for a map. The volunteer at the front desk was most helpful, especially about all to see and do in the area. He gave us tips on driving the scenic roads in the Black Hills, which were greatly appreciated.

The ladies at each visitors center were helpful and kind - very sweet older ladies! We enjoyed the #WildBillMe game so much - thank you Deadwood!!! The displays were nice, too. Very informative.
