Experience our award-winning wines in a fun and relaxed setting in the heart of the Black Hills. Find us three miles northwest of Hill City on Highway 385, just a few miles from Mount Rushmore National Memorial and Crazy Horse Memorial. We’re Hill City’s only working winery and Sandi Vojta, our fifth generation winemaker, handcrafts each wine, often using old family recipes, just a few steps from our Tasting Room. Start your Prairie Berry Winery experience with a free wine tasting of up to five of our award-winning wines, including our Anna Pesa handcrafted traditional European wines, at our Tasting Bars. We produce a variety of wines in styles for every palate – from crisp, dry wines and robust, oak-aged reds to sweet, fruity varieties. Our Kitchen offers housemade menu items including gluten-free, vegetarian and kids’ options. Menu selections pair perfectly with our wines, vary with the season and many of our ingredients are sourced locally. Enjoy a meal on our patio with our beautiful views of Black Elk Peak (formerly Harney Peak). Our brewery, Miner Brewing Company, is located next door.

Interesting winery that's been handed down over several generations. Fantastic variety of wines. Good tasting room that helps you select the wines you would like to purchase.

This is one of the more popular wineries in the central Hills area. I like the fact that they don't charge for their tastings and now they offer a scrumptious selection of jams.

Great place to break up all the tourist attractions with wine tasting. Prices were higher than some other places we have been but the wines were quite good.

Loved we could take our kids there and they had something to do as we looked at wine. The wine tasting was a great experience.

We loved our brief visit to the winery although we probably should have left our teenage son at the hotel. My wife and I chose 5 wines, learned how they were made, tasted them and walked out 30 minutes later with a bottle of Frontenac...More

This place was a quiet and fun place to take friends and family. Adequate wines (Red A$$ wine was too sweet for my taste) but they have some nice chardonnays! Friendly staff!! Recommend!!

Great question! We allow dogs to join well-behaved owners on either of our patios, but due to health codes, we do not allow pets inside the building.

Great question! We do allow children at the winery and try to provide activities to keep them busy and engaged, including games both inside and outside the Tasting Room. Our kitchen also offers a kids menu and sodas for... More

No, jackets are not required. It is an informal to casual facility. It is a great experience in wine tasting, the bistro serves very good food but a little on the pricy side. They host numerous events that one should go... More
