We found this quirky little place in the South Dakota Vacation Guide and figured while staying in Keystone why not check it out. There are a lot of teddy bears and the wonderful little old lady who runs the attraction has a story for almost everyone of them. It is a bit over the top but a great photo op... More

Thanks for taking time to stop by TBT and for your post. I'm doing best I can to display teddies that move in. If more than one is donated, I make sure at least one or more are able to be seen. The owner keeps telling me and others about expansion, definitely need it. Watch next September when the new... More

I took my four-year-old daughter to Teddy Bear Town. It was a lot of fun looking at all the teddy bears she has on display. So many from my childhood. My daughter loved picking out a teddy bear to buy, and she loves it very much. The owner is very sweet and friendly.

I love teddy bears! Iforced my husband and our teenagers to visit. If you ask my family they think it was a mixture of creepy, cool and smelly. I believe the lady's name was Jackie who was in charge. She was adorable, super friendly, gave us tons of information, knew everything about every single bear we had questions on. I... More

Thank you for taking the time to post. I agree, need expansion. The owner of the house keeps talking to me and everyone how he has plans to expand, hold up to 20,000 teddies. I don't know about 10,000 more, but agree, the teddies now need to stretch out so all can be seen. I'm doing the best I can,... More

We were staying in Hill City and had done every touristy thing there was to do in the area, so on our last day we strolled through town. Jokingly we said, "let's go to Teddy Bear Town!". It was so much fun! Jackie is amazing with her tales about where some of the bears came from and the the touching... More

We stopped in here with our two daughters and son (8, 5, and 2, respectively) while on vacation. It's a small building on the main drag, across from the Super 8 motel. There museum is packed full of teddy bears, large and small, and you're free to walk around and look at them all. My girls, and even my son,... More

We stopped here our last day in town and loved it. It was amazing that the lady knew every bears and it's story by heart. It is a little cramped, but it's amazing that she fit 9,005 teddies all in one spot. The lady is very sweet and funny. I would like to visit again just to see which bears... More

This is a free attraction and it is in the Guinness Book of World Records. I honestly am not interested in teddy bears, but the lady is super nice and is always trying to break her record. There are some bears in there from far away and I appreciate her passion.

Jackie, it was so nice meeting you and your large collections of teddy bears! Our daughter and her friend had a lovely time seeing your Teddy Bear Town. We promised to send you a bear from Holland so I am searching for the right bear. When I find it I will send it to you. Regards from Decia

This is a neat place to take the kids. This is the woman's entire collection of teddy bears. I think its neat that she shares them with the world. Its covered wall to floor with teddy bears and the space can be pretty small so if you're clausterphobic enter when there is very few people in there. There are teddy... More
