Cool Looking Building

Was not able to go inside as it was closed early in the morning. But the outside was impressive. Not something you see everyday.

The outside murals changes every year with a different scene. They are all done with different shades of corn. The inside is an auditorium. The history of the building is described and shown along the hallway walls. Fun visit to see the different art forms of corn. Make sure to get a popcorn ball!

A quirky history of corn all under one roof, plenty to see and read if you're into corn in all its shapes, colours and varieties. Something a little different and possibly not for everyone. If you like unusual stuff like this you'll be right at home.

This is a very cool place to visit. Yes, it's mainly a tourist trap... the corn part of it is, anyway. Nonetheless, you get to drive through downtown Mitchell, which has a very nice small-town feel. If you're in the area, definitely check out the corn palace.

We had been to the Corn Palace years ago, and my husband was really looking forward to showing the grandkids. Unfortunately there was a basketball game there the day we went, and after following signs for a fun kid spot... up stairs, down a long hall, we found that this was also closed. When I asked the "information" booth lady... More

The corn palace is a unique experience. The outside is decorated with murals made completely from corn and other grains. The are many displays and interesting information inside. There is a children's activity area with informative activities centered around corn and agriculture. Take a picture on a Farmall tractor.

While going through, we decided to stop at the infamous corn palace. We didn't spend much time there, because we didn't feel there was a lot to do. Our daughter enjoyed taking pictures with the statues and walking through the shops.

Our friends had asked if we saw the Corn Palace while we were traveling through SD, and as it was we were only 30 miles away and would pass Mitchell the next morning. We drove into Mitchell and we were not disappoint, this place is amazing. The work that goes into covering the palace is incredible, we were told that... More

This was our third time to see the Corn Palace. It's just fun to see what is done each year. Not a destination site, but if in area, don't miss it. Also have some interesting things inside about its history, how it is decorated, etc. and the night we were there a local team (community college? Not sure) was playing... More

After hearing about the Corn Palace for most of my life on interest shows like Sunday Morning for most of my life, I made my dad pull off the road during a trip to Montana (no teenagers were present, not sure why Trip Advisor got rid of just the "family" tag, but anyway). While the Corn Palace is pretty much... More
