Visited as part of a walking tour around the city. Love all the sculptures of the past governors around the city. Didn't have the opportunity to venture inside, but others in my group did, and were impressed - I just peeked inside.

The grounds are nice but need better maintenance by the visitors center. The lady at the gift shop was very friendly and nice to talk with.

The grounds have life-size bronze figures showing diverse soldiers near the water feature. The inside is really beautiful with models showing previous first-ladies in their formal dresses. Notice the old-time iron railroad bridge above the road with very low clearance near the Capitol.

You will not want to miss a walk around the State Capitol. It has a beautiful lake and treelined sidewalks and veterans memorials and statues. The views are stunning.

This was a beautiful setting for a capitol. Park, little lake, art and statues around. Nice picture taking.
