No charge to enter museum which is packed with many donated personal items from servicemen. The memorial is an outline of the battleship with lots of green space to walk around and stretch your legs. We stopped here on our way home from the Dakotas....More

Outside there is an outline of the Battleship and a few other items from the ship. The museum took about 30 minutes to look through.

This has the best little museum with great pieces of history, from pictures to weapons to uniforms. The framework of the Battleship is to scale and the anchor and chain is massive.

We stopped here briefly during our time in Sioux Falls. We did spend some time outside looking at it and reading the plaques, but we went in mid April and the museum was not open yet on the inside. Great for anyone interested in history....More

Interesting to see the boat upclose not just from the street, also interesting to see all the different eras and types of military services were available and on display.

This is a very good place to visit if you like to learn about our history. They have some outside displays and a small museum to learn about the USS South Dakota. I recommend it.

This is essentially some cannons from the battleship in a park with the outline of the ship in the park. I understand what they were doing here but it's worth about 5 minutes. I wouldn't do much but drive by frankly....

The memorial gives you a chance to see just how long that ship was. It is a good lesson for kids and a good remembrance for adults. Easy to find. Worth the stop.

Oh it is not a complete ship. It is parts of the ship reassembled to the shape of the ship. It is by no means the big complete ship, but everything there is very interesting and educationa. No steps that you have to climb... More
