This memorial is in its early stage. Besides the boulder (nice), there isn't much. The newspaper articles on display are of poor quality and the sign at the entrance is missing. Steep paths that are being washed away because of poor construction.

We drove for what felt like forever to get to a rock. I felt like more should have been there. A legend died there. I googled and found more information than was given at the site. There is a tiny pavilion with wrinkled and faded newspaper articles. It is free, but you need to be able to walk a good... More

Located a few miles west of the main Rt 641 intersection is this attraction. A small windy road takes you there and there is a parking area to the right. The actual monument is down a rather steep hill but near the top is a large glass enclosed display. Much information is kept there and it's very informative.

I was struck of how far down in a ravine this memorial is. I can only imagine the sheer terror those in the plane crash went thru as well as the first responders finding them and the recovery effort. Maybe a few more dollars should be spent to fix it up more. The small info shelter is in need of... More

The memorial here is what marks the location where her plane went down. Its a nice little walk from the parking area down to the Memorial. There is an area that has the articles from when her plane crashed.

It does have a downhill walk on a dirt/safe walkway but worth every step to get there. It has a memorial for the accident with lovely history about all who were in the accident. Go down the side road next to the Shell Station until you see the sign and then walk down to the memorial.

It happened here....an American tragedy. Talk to most people remaining in Camden. and they will tell you they have a souvenir from the crash site.

Thank Richard J
