Creative Discovery Museum is a hands-on children's museum in the heart of downtown Chattanooga that inspires all children to explore, innovate, create, and play. Our exhibits are designed to both entertain and educate as children discover the world around them and all it has to offer including art, music, dinosaur digging, water exploration, and science. Rated the #7 children's museum in the U.S. by Trekaroo in 2015.

It is a fabulous museum for toddlers. The exhibits are so creative. The museum is clean and well-maintained and exhibits are in good working order. The front desk receptionist was very friendly and greeted us warmly on arrival. There are employees wearing blue coats that...More

So many "hands on" things for the kids to do, it's a great change from them hearing "don't touch that" all the time! My 4 year old son could've stayed in the dinosaur pit for hours. And my 2 year old daughter loved the water...More

This wasn't on our recent road trip itinerary but we added it very quickly once seeing it. What an AMAZING children's museum! I have been to several and this is by far the BEST. Everything is above and beyond wonderful. Add this stop!

My daughter loved this place. I didn't really know what to expect but she loved everything. She is 2 so her attention span is very short but she was able to run from one activity to the next having a blast. There are tons of...More

Neat place for small children. I wish it had more science related exhibits but my 4 year old had a blast.

All three of our children went here when they were younger and remembered playing in the water area. They had such a good time even now that they are older playing in the same area. They spent an hour in the water area again.

Great place for the family to vist. Lots for kids to do, and some exhibits change so it is worth it to get a family membership.

Chattanooga was the stopping point of our drive from Orlando to Chicago. After being cooped up in the car all day, we were pleasantly surprised to find the Creative Discovery Museum right across the street from our hotel. My three year old daughter adored it,...More

The parking lot is quite large right behind the museum. I think you could park an RV there.

My wife and I feel they would love it. But, it would be optimal if 2 adults or a buddy for the 8 year old could go. The exhibits, in our opinion, tried to stage for each age and had some for all ages. Your 15 month old... More

Honestly, there are a few areas that a one year old would enjoy, like the sand and water, but I don't know that it would be worth it that young. The sand would just be like any other sand box since the "dig" wouldn't really... More
