Wildwood Stables is located at Fairfield Glade Golf Resort. The trails are excellent and the scenery is beautiful. Highly recommend this trail. They also have hayrides with excellent food and a play area for kids. It is perfect for families. There is an amazing 200 year old sycamore tree! The tree is recognized by the Urban Forestry Council in Nashville, TN on October 5, 2012, as a Landmark and Historic Tree. It was planted in 1864 by Hugh Center. The homestead was located along Walton Road which carried travelers across the state. Many famous people stopped by the Center home. The site was also had a school house/chapel and was the hub of activity in the area. The tree stands 94 ft. tall and is 16 ft. in circumference, with a crown spread of 165 ft. The tree is a wonderful place to marry with couples pledging their eternal love. Prayers said under the tree is believed to go straight to heaven. The TUFC has recognized 32 landmark, historic and heritage trees across the state to date. Wildwood Stable is also a stop on the Upper Cumberland Quilt Trail. The pattern chosen is called "Crossed Roads" which is significent to the heritage of the area and Tennessee.

I've taken my kids on numerous trail rides in numerous states...and I have to say this was probably the most enjoyable!! There were vertical climbs and descents. Not too hard but enough to have to lean forward and back. We crossed numerous creeks and water spots. The views were beautiful and the weather was perfect. Our guide was super friendly... More

My daughter loved her first horseback trail ride - even on feisty Cowgirl! The guide and trail were great and the stable was well-run. They wisely have dogs along on the trail so the horses don't spook easily, and my mount Cloudy was the best. Great experience overall!

We had a wonderful time at Wildwood Stables. We brought our granddaughter with us and she experienced her first ride holding the reins. We had a great time as well on a beautiful trail. After the trail ride we went on a hayride and got to feed the horses out of our palms and then there was more riding in... More

Really nice stables. Staff was friendly and informative. Horses were well kept and nice. Went for the short ride which was plenty if you don't ride a lot. Trail was steep and rocky in places but the guide did a great job taking us through them.

This is one of the best horse stable that I've ever been on. For the first timmers I would recommend the short one but if you are comfortable with horses do the long one. The staff could not have been any nicer (we knew some of them.) There is the second largest sycamore tree in the state. The horses are... More

Went out for my kids (9, 11,13, & 15) first time on horses and had a great time. Judy did a great job at the stable as did Ambry and Brook. Out on the trail Ambry and Brook were great guides and did a wonderful job with my kids. Strongly recommend going if in the area!
