Built in 1929, The Factory occupies the buildings that once served as the Dortch Stove Works, Magic Chef and later the Jamison Bedding Company. A member of the National Register of Historic Places, The Factory is rich with history and a very careful renovation has preserved many of The Factory's original features and architectural details. Calvin bought the sprawling complex seven years ago and, after an environmental clean-up, began opening the facility in sections. Today, The Factory at Franklin has 83 tenants. Imagine that factory coming alive with concerts, dining, shopping, meetings, live theatre, art galleries, decorators' showcases, antiques and offices. Our unique facility can serve all this and more. Take a look at The Factory in its days as a bustling, working factory, then embark on a photographic tour of its renovation and transformation to the diverse and vibrant shopping and entertainment complex it is today.

I expected a little more out of this place. It's got a few neat shops and a nice antique mall but nothing real impressive. It would help if it had a few more shops and variety. It's mostly antiques, decor, and expensive clothes.

We visited the farmers market on Saturday and found it to be such an enjoyable experience! We really weren't planning on spending as much time as we did.... but our starter failed on our vehicle which made for a long wait until we could make our way to the GM dealer close by. (By the way, we waited 2 hours... More

If you are in the Nashville area, take a short drive south to the lovely city of Franklin. There you'll find tucked a bit away from the hustle a lovely building called "The Factory". It's very unique and has really cool shops and small eateries. A definite must-see is the antique store. You wouldn't believe all of the cool things... More

We met family and Nashville that were in from Chicago to see the Blackhawks game. We decided to take them to Franklin for the morning as they had never been there we took them to the factory just to take in the little quaint stores and five daughters. They're really like the Nuance of the town and the atmosphere of... More

Stopped in here on a Saturday morning. Ate at the California food truck. Amazing cali grit bowl! Then shopped around and saw some amazing stores. Loved the antique store, heard the sisters donuts was amazing but did not stop in. Love the atmosphere of the building. Definitely a good find!

We went to the Factory in Franklin. There were tons of shops there. It was fun to walk around. We first went to the antique store that is there. It was huge! We spent most of our time there. It was fun seeing the old stuff. We bought a few things too. I was with my friend so it was... More

This place is pretty cool to browse in, there are tons of stores, just do not go on a Sunday. They aren't all open.

It could be the time of year, but many stores were closed. Not much to see! Would not recommend for this time of year.

Hi there! We're sorry that your visit to The Factory didn't live up to your expectations. We are in the midst of a big transition, with three new restaurants launching soon and many new and upcoming maker/vendor retail launches, several in currently empty spaces. At the same time, we get that not every destination suits every eye, but we appreciate... More

This little mall in its self is not that special. But inside I was pleasantly surprised by the great service I got at 2 little shops. Nature Art had a delightful assortment of cute little trinkets. I purchased some lovely purple Swarovski earrings for only $15. I collect items for my fairy garden and they several items I had never... More
