Overview
More
The Franklin Theatre opened in the summer of 1937 when the marquee first illuminated Main Street. The downtown historic landmark closed in 2007 but reopened as a 300 seat venue in 2011 with an investment of more than $8 million to again enrich, inspire and connect our community. It still features classic and recent release movies, community and private events - but most exciting are the live concerts by diverse original talents such as Sheryl Crow, Art Garfunkel, Glenn Miller Orchestra, Vince Gill, Keb Mo and many more.

The Franklin Theatre was the perfect venue for "Murder on the Orient Express"! Check out the current and old movies, live concerts (really sorry that I missed George Winston) and special events. On a cold New Year's Day, there was much confusion in the lobby...More

Thanks for the kind review and apologies for the confusion about lines in the lobby on New Year's Day. The temperatures were so cold outside, we decided to let patrons in to purchase tickets rather than creating a line outside on this unusually frigid day....More

Main Street Franklin is a step back in time. The shops are more upscale but the town has the feel of a Norman Rockwell painting and right in the middle of town is the family friendly Theatre. Great place for intimate performances or to see...More

My wife and I (and other family members) have been here several times for concerts and we always enjoy the facility and the music. Staff members are extremely friendly, too. And the theatre is beautiful and intimate.

Attended with my daughter and granddaughter and a few of their friends. We really enjoyed the movie and the classic movie theater experience was awesome. Everyone was friendly and courteous. (either in August or September)

Over rated. To call this a historic theatre really is a stretch of the imagination. Mutton dressed as lamb. Cheap cinema with over rated/priced music once in a while. Disappointing.
