Downtown Franklin looks to me like something out of a painting. The historic architecture that lines Main Street is only overshadowed by the local and unique shops that inhabit it. If you enjoy antiques, unique and beautiful decor, excellent eating places, and just a fun...More

It is a small historical town that has been revitalized with boutique shops. All are unique and carry a variety of items and lines of merchandise. All of the shops we went in had very friendly staff full of suggestions on where to go next...More

Main street was busy and had a lot of family owned shops. There were a variety of retail in a 2-3 block area. Worth taking the time to drive down from Nashville.

Charming & quaint old architecture has been restored well. Town squares/circles provide more interest. Unfortunately, crass, touristy commercialism is prevailing. Otherwise this seems like a very nice town.

If you like small, cute towns, you'll love Franklin. Their main street is chockfull of cutesy stores offering cutesy wares. Girls, they even have a bar offering to take care of your husbands while you shop! Spend a relaxing afternoon wandering down the street.

We have the privilege of escorting continuing guests to "walk around downtown" and never get bored! There's ALWAYS something we missed or didn't notice previously. Unusual shops, food for every taste, and old original buildings. "The Square" contains a terrific Civil War Memorial and the...More

A nice place to leisurely walk around. There are beautiful churches, brick homes and government buildings on the village streets. There are signs with historical information that you can stop to read. Very pleasant place, but plenty of traffic.
