Located just a straight shot south from downtown Nashville, quaint downtown Franklin is the perfect sleepy Southern town. Visitors can easily spend a day browsing antique shops and boutiques and dining at one of its many ecelctic restaurants. Downtown Franklin offers an eclectic mix of antique shops, gift and book stores, art galleries and clothing boutiques. Franklin hosts several festivals each year.

Awesome place. Just waiting for Andy and Barney to step out onto the square. Some interesting shops with lots of Civil War history all over town.

Great shops, plenty of Southern hospitality, and lots of fun. Downtown Franklin is the jewel of the South. I stayed at the Magnolia House B&B and walked to downtown every morning. There are many interesting things to see on the way and many streets to...More

We went over to Franklin to see the battle site and took a walk through downtown to check out the shops. The town is cool with a number of special shops. Unfortunately, it was late afternoon on a Sunday so not all of them were...More

We enjoyed our stroll through the shops and park by the river. But we loved our meal at Puckett's! The village and town of Franklin has a variety of the old and new! Beautiful homes too!

If you find yourself in Franklin and are bored, give it a quick stop. Parking in the area is ridiculous and pretty tough to find. There are a few blocks of local shops and eateries, but nothing to write home about. It's mostly over-priced, but...More

Great book cover, lacks content. It is very cute, boutiques galore but over priced. I got more of a tourist feel than local flavor, which what I was hoping for. The up side is the eateries, I saw a number of interesting choices, settled on...More

I have a few fav shops, but I get great decorating and gift ideas from all the stores! It is a nice way to relax, spend a few hours supporting local businesses, and share time with friends and family.

I've lived in Franklin, Tennessee for years, raising six children here. On Spring Break I took the family to Downtown Mainstreet and we deliberately walked by every shop, peeking through the windows or going into several of the interesting stores. What I love about Downtown...More

Great day walking in and out of great little shops of clothing, decorative items, eclectics, antiques, and children's items. Ate outside at local eatery. Sweet historic town outside the hustle of Nashville.

Not always but if they have a band playing and you want to make sure you see the band, it will help. The band normally doesn't play until 8pm so if you're eating before 7pm, you'll probably be able to walk right in.
