Neat history lesson
Mar 2021
This a neat museum to stop and see. The price was only $5.50 for seniors and $6.50 for everyone else. There was a small media center that tells the life of Casey Jones but they didn’t play the great full dead song. There is Casey’s house and a train to climb on and take pictures great gift shop

It’s needing an overhaul
Feb 2021
Management please look at your facility with fresh eyes. This is not good. Presentation, quality was very lacking. Old outdated building inside no appeal at all. Food was not fresh and presentation was lacking. No labels stating what anything was which when appearance is lacking appeal, description would help.
We tried to like it just was overcooked and not good.
I would also check your buffet warmers. If health department would come in you probably would be shut down. Warm at best.
I don’t want to be harsh but you all need some work. The servers were awesome attentive that was it.

Day trip

Our visit started with a nice buffet lunch at the Old Country Store. Great food.
We then went through the Casey Jones Home and Railroad Museum. Very informative.

Cool Place with Tons of History
Dec 2020
I had always seen this place when I would travel, but never stopped in to check it out. I am glad I did. There was a lot of history regarding the railroad and I even went down the road to Casey Jones grave. It was a cool visit to such a small town.

Very Nice and Affordable Attraction
Oct 2020
We visited here wanting to take a trip at a distance we could drive, since we are still somewhat concerned about flying due to the pandemic. This was the first time we have been more than 40 miles from home since last November. We enjoyed the Museum and the Casey Jones home and at $5.50 per person for seniors, it was very affordable. There is a very informative film describing the life and tragic death of Casey Jones and the Museum is filled with interesting Railroad memorabilia and Jones family artifacts. You can see a replica of engine 382 and climb aboard and get a photo. Nice shops in the area to explore as well
