Beautiful fort. We weren’t able to go in because of time constraints but the house looked very interesting. Definitely recommend an hour or so if you have some free time while in Knoxville.

Interesting historic building just across the street from the Marriott hotel. Worth the walk to see or photograph.

We've been a couple times on school field trips a there is so much to learn and do and see. My son loved it just as much as I did. Great gift shop as well

This is a very detailed homestead of how living used to be before electricity. The handouts are informational and an insight of how life was. Very educational.

Monday - Saturday. 9-5. That being said, the tour is about 1 hr. So, you should arrive no later that 4 for a tour.

Yes there is a nominal fee. With AAA I paid $6 which also applies to AARP, military, seniors, etc. I believe full cost is around $9. In my opinion it was worth it, and commensurate with what it costs for maintenance. Hope... More
