Interesting place and history and may varied restaurants but beware of the parking on the street as some is for specialized parking certain times of the day. it is best to park in the garage and not have to worry what spot you are in.

What a nice place to wander around, grab a bite, or do some shopping. It is right in downtown and easily accessible. There are interesting elements that include a small waterfall and a small stream like water feature. There are lots of benches, some cool statues and historical information. There is a walkway where you can view the interesting works... More

So fun after a great choice of restaurants. Meander in and out of stores for fun merchandise or be entertained by street vendors. The park is lovely too.

This reminded us of a smaller version of downtown Savannah, GA. Following a day of campus tours, we headed to Market Square to grab a bite for dinner. It was nice enough for us to eat outside and enjoy the entire ambiance of the area. Following lunch, we visited the shops which lined the square and included a wide variety... More

If your want a diverse community venue, go to Market Square in Downtown Knoxville. On Saturday's beginnings in May, the farmers market reopens. Numerous vendors sale everything from wonderful plants, to baked goods, vegetables, flowers, jewelry, clothing and fine crafts. The street musicians and other street entertainment can be found throughout the square. The restaurants are fantastic and vary greatly... More

Market Square is a quaint and different place filled with lovely and one-of-a-kind stores to spend many hours browsing. It also offers many different varieties of places to eat. I was there with family and friends and started to rain but we were able to go from store to store looking at all the interesting and unique merchandise and before... More

I love Market Square! Besides the good restaurants to choose from, there are quaint shops with something for everyone. What I enjoy most is that there is always something going on! I have seen everything from plays to music on the stage. Also it is very dog friendly. Lots of four legged friends there.

Market Square is one block west of Gay Street. The day we visited, there was a light misty rain, but still very busy & interesting. Market Square is a pedestrian friendly area surrounded by mostly restaurants and small boutiques. Some have outdoor seating, but with the weather everybody was inside. At the south end ase the Tennessee Woman Suffage Memorial... More

The farmer's market is huge. Must have been over 15 farms with produce. Several honey suppliers. Lots of artists works. Food trucks. Salsa makers. Street performers. It was a blast. Highly recommend it if you are in Knoxville on a Saturday morning. They are also open on Wednesday, don't know if it is as large.

Thank Alfred S
