We did this as part of our tour. The history was great and the site was very interesting. It is worth a stop and take time to wander around.

Interesting stop but not nearly as cool as don angus. Enjoyed the local kids playing music for tips. If you have time it’s a cool stop but don’t plan your day around it.

This site is located on the west side of Inis Mor and is quite interesting. Although it is known as”Seven Churches” only two of the foundations are actually churches. The larger one, St Brecan’s Church, was built over the 8th to 13th centuries. It has...More

Although termed ‘ the seven churches’ there are in fact only 2 churches with few domestic buildings. The title seven is possibly an allusion to the pilgrimage circuit of Rome which incorporated seven churches. St Brecan’s Church is a large multi period church c. 8th-13th...More

Visited on a foggy damp day, it's stark remains brings to mind what once was. Untouched for what seems decades makes you think what life was on this island years ago. great place for photos!!!!!!!! Just be prepared for unsteady ground.

Our tour guide, Noel, brought us to this site which I'd likely have missed on my own. Interesting bit of history and good photo op.

We were extremely lucky to have Dara Molloy as our tour director. He gave a very informative talk and added to our visit.

This was an interesting stop on our tour around Inís Mór. Although the location is named Seven Churches, there actually were only two churches and five other out buildings. I enjoyed learning the history of the location, but also the fact that it is still...More

If you're on a bus tour, you're bound to stop here. It's not really 7 churches (only 2 apparently) but the ruins of both the churches and other dwellings, as well as the fact that it is also in use as a graveyard, gives it...More
