A nice beach. Facilities (WC, clothing) are outdated, but available and operational. There is even a lifeguard.

The summer of the heat wave made this usually quiet beach a lot busier. That didn't stop us from several visits. It's the first time I've ever seen so many swimmers. Do be careful of the jellyfish though.

Great spot for an evening walk. Prepare to bundle up as the wind can whip right over the beach. Plenty of parking and I've never seen a crowd.

It really is a magical place!! Probably the most tranquil beach in Galway looking over the Clare Hills. Have a nice pint in the Travellers Friend on the way home.

Not too busy and calm waters for paddiling away from the bigger Atlantic waves. Lovely place for a peaceful stroll.
