A little paradise
Sep 2021 • Family
You can access the garden separately or on a visit to lavender farm. A lovely peaceful place with waterfall, fish pond and lots of quirky other things going on. Seats available in sun or shade. We were lucky enough to meet Reg who is a lovely man and regaled us with a few interesting tales. Entrance is free but please leave a donation on exiting as this helps towards keeping this wee gem open.

Quirky
Jul 2021
Next door to the Lavender Farm. Entrance is free and is 1.5 acres of lots of different garden rooms.

Loved the central part of the garden, the waterfall and surrounding beds. Lots of happy chickens wandering around.

If you make a visit with children they will love it, as various sheds dotted around with various collections of quirky objects.

However, as a couple walking around we found it very peaceful and tranquil.

Deserted garden full of surprises
Mar 2021
Visited this landmark in March - it was open but nobody around. Walked around the most amazing garden which included various sheds and huts, toys, terrapins, chickens, fish, a nativity stable, children's party area, and an OAP swing. There is clearly so much love that has gone into the construction and ongoing care of this place. I only wish we could have met Reg but the place was deserted! I hope he is OK

Lovely, even in the rain!

Visited Reg's Garden today with my partner. We'd seen signs around the area previously but hadn't ever been. I didn't know what to expect, but was greeted with a lovely, well-thought out area which bought me great joy. Would love to return on a sunnier day, perhaps with some music in the amazing ampathetre. Thank you Reg for this wonderful garden.

Wonderful garden created by Reg and Mary. It was lovely to see you both again, and to see what you have acheived.

So pleased Reg's garden is back!
Oct 2019
There was a time when I think Reg was planning to close his beloved garden. I gather he had ill health but I was so glad to find him now fully recovered and raring to go with new imaginative ideas for improving his delightful garden. My friend and I were the only two visitors when we called in last Sunday, when the rain had finally eased, and were pleased to find Reg pottering in his garden. He showed us his latest project, a replica Santana building in which he hopes Father Christmas will be visiting this year. Also another building which will hold a Nativity scene. Since we last visited, four years ago, he has also installed a large enclosure to hold terrapins complete with imaginative backdrop. There is a Safari enclosure which is funny and, assuming a lot of the ornaments are donated, he is very clever in how he arranges the items. He also engineered a wonderful waterfall which activates when you approach. The gardens are home to a variety of pretty, unusual looking chickens and the pond is heaven for the ducks. Unfortunately I couldn't find his lovely ginger cat this time. I just don't know how he manages to look after it all, although I know he has a trusty friend who helps out. Reg is a marvel, kind and generous with his time, and I wish him well with all his future projects. Oh and I should add that entry is entirely free but there is a milk churn for donations. Anything received goes to charity.

Paradise!
Aug 2019 • Family
We have just enjoyed the most amazing couple of hours in Reg’s garden. It is absolutely beautiful with lots of different interesting areas to explore. The highlight of our afternoon was meeting Reg as he fed the rescue terrapins. He then spent nearly an hour showing us different parts of his award winning garden including his current project, the Madeira house.
Thank you so much for spending time with our family Reg. To hold the concentration of a 15 year old boy for nearly an hour was nothing short of a miracle! We had a lovely time and look forward to seeing your project again soon.

This garden is a must see. A little hard to find but once found it is a beautiful setting. Talking to Reg himself is very informative also.
