We came here today but we're very disappointed. The harbour was looking tired and a bit tacky, not as good as I remember it being. We walked through the town which had a few vacant shops and quite a few charity shops. We stayed for...More

I know this is a working town but.. the whole area of the harbour and around is grubby, unkempt and down-at-heel and we could not wait to leave. The marina is a bit more inviting to tourists like us. We would have stopped for a...More

Well worth a visit. Come in by ferry from Torquay, it's more fun than parking (£4 for up to 3 hours)

This harbour is for everyone. The Golden Hind ship to visit is amazing but not for people who dont like confined spaces or for young children. There are craft stalls on certain days of the week, lovely ice cream and fabulous upmarket restaurants and well...More

This is a working harbour. There is a lot to see if you like looking at boats. William of Orange landed here and there is a statue to that effect. There is a replica of the Golden Hind which could be interesting although we were...More

Got the boat over from Torquay. It's a working harbour with fishing boats in the harbour and great little restaurants around the harbour side. Brixham is definitely worth a visit if your in the area.

It was, and hopefully will remain, as the biggest fishing port in southern England. The view of the harbour is typically of fishing port. Visitors can walk along the harbour and visit some restaurant and pubs. Basically nothing more.

there is always enough to do and don't forget that there is a configuration of resorts along the coast easily accessible by bus including Torquay. there are plenty of exhibitions on year-round not to mention art galleries.

I agree,I first visited Brixham in October. I feared the same thing..... Don't worry, this is a lovely little town anytime. There will be a couple of places that close early, but only because we,as tourists don't visit them... More
