Brixham harbour is very pretty with lots of little interesting shops. We walked along the marina which was lovely and had a coffee in the breakwater bistro overlooking everybody playing on the beach and swimming in the crystal clear sea. Crabbing was our favourite activity...More

You have to unload outside as the car park is a good walk away. The welcome was not the warmest. The room was adequate with a harbour view. However the stairwell fire doors were left open and the noise from the small bar immediately at...More

Viewed the Golden Hind Museum Ship & busy harbour ,filled with so many different fishing & pleasure sailing boats, before taking a leisurely walk along the quay to the lighthouse at the far end. Such a lovely location to visit in South Devon.

We were so surprised at how lovely the harbour was and were lucky to have the view of it from our room in the guest house we stayed in. In the harbour are working fishing boats and, further on, a range of sailing boats are...More

Spent a week here it was lovely. Craving for the kids is a good pastime and everyone catches one. Plenty of nice cafes, bars and fish and chip shops. It also has a fresh fish market will be going back next year.

Best time to go is out of season, although this means a lot of the "tourist" shops may be closed. The harbour is still active with fishing still being done, and classic boats under repair. The gardens along the harbourside have been imaginatively created.

Brixham harbour has a lot of different things to do. Take a stroll, have a drink or meal. There is also a nice range of shops to pop into.

there is always enough to do and don't forget that there is a configuration of resorts along the coast easily accessible by bus including Torquay. there are plenty of exhibitions on year-round not to mention art galleries.

I agree,I first visited Brixham in October. I feared the same thing..... Don't worry, this is a lovely little town anytime. There will be a couple of places that close early, but only because we,as tourists don't visit them... More
