We visited the arboretum and sculpture exhibitions last weekend, just before the exhibition was due to be removed for the winter. We are so glad that we managed to see it. The whole atmosphere was lovely, peaceful and relaxing. We loved the silent area at...More

Stopped for just an hour on our way home from a weekend in Chagford. The gardens contain birch and alder trees and a number of ponds. The area has a number of pieces of art such as willow animals which isn't something I normally enjoy...More

We spent a morning exploring this beautifully designed woodland with fascinating sculptures popping up amongst the trees. Although situated in rural Dartmoor, it is easily accessible. The owners are so trusting as one pays the entrance fee (just £6) into a box in a shed....More

We are grateful for the vision of Kenneth Ashburner and his family and friends and so glad that it is being continued. We have been coming here for over 20 years and it just gets more and more gorgeous!

Something completely different. Come and enjoy the lovely Birch and Alder trees, the naturalistic planting, the peace and quiet, and the statues which are such a lovely part of this garden. Though "garden" is hardly the right word. Perhaps woodland experience is better. We visited...More

A lovely morning spent wandering through the beautifully overgrown gardens. The family had fun discovering and identifying the artworks hidden in the undergrowth but I especially appreciated the wealth of birch and alder from all over the world. You can even buy them on mail...More
