Had fun exploring the grounds of this old castle. Loved reading the information boards and picturing what it would have been like. Awesome view from the top despite all the big steps.

We were looking for somewhere quieter to go this bank holiday, stay away from the crowds! This was the perfect place. It is a beautiful setting. The castle itself (and grounds) is very small and I could see that some people might not feel it...More

Included in the entry see is an audio guide which is well worth listening to. I learnt a lot about the castle and the area.

We enjoyed our Sunday afternoon autumn visit. The staff were very friendly and informative. Audio tour a great idea too! We were lucky with the weather. Not a wet day activity.

An hour should see a quite detailed visit, with the optional audio device which is an excellent free option. Enjoy!!
