Exmouth beach comes across as a very clean beach. During the summer dogs are banned apart from two small areas but in the winter they can walk in all areas. Along the promenade you will find walkers, runners, skateboarders and responsible cyclists who stay in the cycle lane. Even on wet and windy days you will find many people exercising.... More

Was down for a few days due to work. Booked into a great hotel on the Esplanade. My first visit to Exmouth and I loved it even in November! Possibly the cleanest beach and Beach front I have seen, definately in the U.K. anyway. Great to walk along anytime of day. It was quiet during my visit but I'm sure... More

The sea is very shallow going a long way out, so great for kids, the sand is sand not shale, again great for kids. Sunday morning we saw lots, around 70 dogs all swimming in the sea and playing together, when we asked were told they were all rescue dogs who met up a couple of times a month to... More

Exmouth beach is great, often come here in the winter for a walk with the dog , it is better when the tide is out although it doesn't matter too much if the tide is in as always plenty of beach left to walk on. Plenty of parking, although still pay and display (even in winter) .

Exmouth is a two mile stretch of mostly sandy beach. There are several rocky areas for little ones to use their nets and try and find crabs and shrimps. There is a large lagoon like area which is overseen by Lifeguards during the summer. It is shallow and ideal for children. Parts of the beach are very popular with kite... More

We drove there to relax along the beach. Blue badges have parking places but you still have to pay. For slightly wider places but no facilities. There was a convoy of motor homes parked along the pavement, so maybe it works for some. For us no. Everything was shut down so the pay to park just meant we moved on.... More

The beach was really good and a wide promenade for safe walking and a bike lane too! Despite being November there were quite a lot of people around taking advantage of the sea air. I enjoyed seeing the Lifeboat too! Why charge for parking in November, that is outrageous!

Easy access and very clean. Lovely long Esplanade to walk along with super views across the estuary of sandbanks and seabirds when the tide was out.
