I was sorry to see a poor review from 2009 given such prominence. Even if the comments were justified at the time - and I don't think so - it's changed in the last 7 years. ( What hasn't?) It's a most characterful venue and provides an impressive range of shows and events in a small town. It's really popular... More

Great venue......just make sure your not thirsty....went to see Dreadzone who were great, loved the theatre but unfortunately woefully under staffed, so made getting a drink virtually impossible!! shame as it was sold out so you would have thought they would have been prepared.... they missed an opportunity to make a lot more money on the night! definitely go again... Fantastic venue with friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Saw The Papa George blues band who were exceptional. Will definitely be back.

A lovely intimate theatre with comfortable seating and good acoustics. Came for an evening with friends to see a show and was VERY impressed. Had not heard of the theatre before and would have missed a great experience had I not come along with friends this evening. Look it up - see what is on - and enjoy

Take a cushion is my advice if you're going to a long film, for example. Otherwise, this is a great venue for all sorts of events: films, literary/political events and music. The decor is amazing too. However, you can't use the bar unless you have a ticket, unlike most venues, which they cd sort out by having stewards on the door.... More

This provincial 30s venue has a lot of charm and although faded is obviously held dear by the people of Bridport. This wonderful cinema with its relaxed, friendly atmosphere shows recent releases and streams live theatre in addition to hosting live music acts. The foyer positively bustles on performance nights with the audience having pre-show drinks from the bar which... More

It is so lovely to be able to have a venue like the Electric Palace right on my doorstep. In the past year with friends and family i have been able to enjoy some excellent live music and also some very credible films such as Star Wars the Force Awakens and most recently The Danish Girl. You are warmly welcomed... More

This is an unusual venue and hasn't had all the charm upgraded out of it. I really enjoyed the vintage feel and décor and the polite and very helpful staff. During the day they sell coffee and to die for chocolate brownies and coffee walnut cake. They welcome four legged visitors as well so our 16 year old dog was... More
