The Electric Palace is a beautiful 1920s cinema recently reopened for films and live music which also has a cafe serving delicious meals made from locally sourced produce. There are latest films twice daily and live music most weekends. The auditorium is the largest venue in the area with a maximum capacity of 400 people. The cafe features beautiful original paintings by George Biles. A Bridport artist famous locally for his creative signwriting in the 1920s.

We came to see Hank Wangford and the Lost Cowboys close out the Hat Festival Weekend and were not disappointed. Really good venue with a great range of live music and films.

Visited here last evening. It is described as are deco but I think think it is slightly more quirky than that. Certainly old fashioned. Film Loving very good. Followed by a speaker a lawyer who was a little too verbose for me.

Was in the area so went to see Rob Beckett, which had sold out. Was able to pick up a couple of returns but was very impressed by the helpful staff and volunteers. A really interesting building

Really enjoyed my first ever gig at the electric palace. Lovely old style theatre building. There are some seats and a good sized standing area near the stage. Reef were fantastic too! Looking forward to watching another gig there soon

I was sorry to see a poor review from 2009 given such prominence. Even if the comments were justified at the time - and I don't think so - it's changed in the last 7 years. ( What hasn't?) It's a most characterful venue and...More
