My kids and I had a fantastic day exploring the Jurassic Coast at Charmouth. He is extremely experienced and a very charismatic guide for the young ones, as well as the very knowledgeable in amongst the group. It was a 3 hour tour in total with a half an hour of clear and extremely helpful explanations of what to look... More

A great place for a walk but unless I and a dozen or so other people were just unlucky, don't expect to find any fossils, without going prepared to split some rocks (with a fossil hunters hammer, etc), as the only person I spoke to who had found 'something', had been busy doing that for a few hours.

It was great to have Martin as guide for our fossil walk - we found loads and his explanations were pitched well to ensure everyone learnt something and had fun. Highly recommend!

We went to the beach to fossil hunt but unfortunately despite getting as much info and the tools it was still a very unsuccessful visit a beautiful place to visit but we wouldn't bother again we purchased a fossil from a shop

Chris of Lyme Regis Fossil Walks really knows how to engage young and old in the fascinating world of paleontology and fossil hunting. We joined him in October of 2015 on a gorgeously sunny day. He started off the walk with a brief talk and display of some finds he had made, not only to set the stage, but to... More

Chris was fantastic. He engaged our 2 boys and got them to look and hunt for fossils. He showed us what to look for and gave us tips on how to use our hammer. He came prepared with hammers, goggles, and holster. The adults had a good time too! 2 hours went by really fast!

I booked this as a birthday present for my 18 year old. Chris was friendly, very informative and the whole family had a wonderful wander along the beach 'fossicking' under his guidance. He was able to add a lot more technical detail for my daughter who has studied A level Geology and for whom this was her first real practical... More

I booked a guided fossil walk with Chris Pamplin as a birthday present for my sister. Chris started the session with an explanation of the cliffs and geology of the Charmouth area and then showed us various fossil samples and what to look out for. We then started out walk across the beach with Chris pointing out what made areas... More

I booked this for the 6 of us as we have been interested in fossils and anything old for as long as I can remember! What a brilliant 4 hours! Money well spent! Brandon is so enthusiastic and his passion for what he does can be seen from the first time you meet him. His knowledge and wealth of information... More
