If you would like to know how the castle would have looked before destruction by Cromwell in 1646, a visit to the model village shows Corfe Castle and the village in 1/20th scale. Set in beautiful Purbeck surroundings, also with giant games, enchanted fairy garden, working stocks and pillories and croquet. There is on site the Courtyard Tea Room for good quality reasonably priced snacks with a wide range of gluten free options.

This was such a sweet place to visit and the gardens were gorgeous!! It's not very big, but there are games you can play on the lawn and a tearoom. We didn't eat in the tearoom as it was heaving - which this is surely...More

We were charmed by the quaint model village which doesn't take long to wander round. The cream tea was simply delicious accompanied by wonderful service. It's much better to enjoy the tea out the back overlooking the gardens/village rather than the courtyard out front. We...More

Most disappointed with this model village. No signs up regarding sloping or uneven pathways, just one small sign warning of slippery paths in the wet. After we had paid and entered the gardens the first thing we encountered was a down-sloping pathway of crazy paving...More

After a 8 mile walk the lunch & in particular the cream tea was greatly appreciated. The gardens were lovely with shaded areas for some cool relaxing time. Nice place with friendly staff.

This was a return visit for a cream tea. 2 massive scones with unlimited clotted cream and jam. Sat in lovely little courtyard, a glorious suntrap, with parasols if you prefer the shade.

Came across this by chance. A very inexpensive lovely little model village with the full history of its 'builder'. The little potting shed museum is really interesting. The two 'guards' having a conversation is quite humorous. Walking through the model village, seeing all detail of...More
