Even though it was unfortunate that the Courthouse is closed on Thursdays, we still saw some great history posted outside on the sidewalk. Also, there was a fantastic chainsaw carver working outside. Can't wait to get back and take a look inside!

What can I say....its a courthouse. No frills and it is dated , as many courthouses are. It serves its purpose.

We felt like we were in the movie My Cousin Vinnie. Such a cute courthouse. Good photo op. We only took pics of outside. It is a working courthouse. Would like to meet DA & judge - esp since we had a horrible experience in our small town dealing with the DA & Judge as victims. Great little spot. Right... More

Arrived at 4:25, greeted very warmly by the guy and also by the local minister (I think he was visiting). Really interesting history and great donations of old clothes and artic acts by people. I was taken by the building, it was beautiful. Well worth a visit.

The Moore County Courthouse is located in the middle of the square in Lynchburg. It is their working, functioning courthouse with offices occupied and in use. The ladies & gents there were friendly but busy. Some of the oldest furniture pieces are still in use and the office designation signs painted onto the transoms over the doors are old and... More

It was closed on Saturday so could t look around - it's clearly am old building in the center of the square with lots of parking and things to see. I really like the clock tower on the cupola - they've painted the old bricks red which spoils the look really.

Lynchburg is a very friendly place to visit. Courthouse is very interesting. Old architecture. Not much change over the years.

Pleasant folks helped with local family search. The archives are located in a building near the jail and open only on Tue & Fri. Christine was very helpful and engaging.

The courthouse sits right in the middle of the square. It's a pretty building & decorated for Christmas but it is just a building. Not really a museum. Also didn't appear to be open on Saturday.
