Came across this place purely by chance, it's free but a donation is hinted at, nice wee castle, in a lovely setting, ample parking, it also has plenty of seating to admire the views, or have a picnic.

I love castles! Sadly we were there a couple weeks too early to go inside the castle, but it was a beautiful sunny day so it was a nice journey. The castle is gorgeous, the area around it is nice for a picnic, and a...More

Fantastic hidden gem! Stumbled across this looking for something to do on a wet and windy day. Credit to the friends of portencross for the refurbishment, and the tour. Will definitely be back.
