Decided to stop here and walk to the views of the waterfall. Be warned there are allot of steps and it certainly get the heart pumping. Great views of the waterfall but don't expect Niagra Falls. Such seclusion is rare. Didn't not see any squirrels...More

Decided to drive the south side of Loch Ness since the traffic on the northern side is heavier, and outside of the castle, felt like I couldn't really safely walk anywhere near the Loch itself. Found a small area near a store and parked. Walked...More

View points at top, middle and bottom of the falls. We viewed from the middle area. Still plenty of steps so not suitable for those with mobility issues. Cafe and shop at the top by the parking for welcome refreshment afterwards.

We had a good day for weather after the recent rains. The Falls were well worth seeing. Can see from halfway or from the bottom. Lots of steps

Lovely drive alongside Loch Ness to get there. Saw red squirrels and deer. The falls themselves are down several hundred steps and you can view from half way down or near the bottom.

We visited on a damp and misty day and the falls did not have much water going over, this we learnt was because most of the water from the upstream river is channeled through an unseen hydro electric plant. It is still worth a visit...More

Clearly the amount of water going over the falls depends on the recent weather and when we went it was pretty spectacular. If you're not a hardened walker the way up through the woods may be a bit taxing but the rewards are worth it....More

We had travelled by boat , touring the Caledonian Canal, but you cannot moor and access the Falls. Disappointed as we had read about them and wanted to visit.

Slightly disappointed with the falls. Don’t get me wrong there was plenty of views to see of the surroundings but when we got to the falls it was more of a dribble less like a waterfall.

This was a hard trip down to see the falls its called the 200 steps but we really enjoyed it if you went further down you could see what's left of a old Aluminium factory which supplied parts in WW2

Just over 30 minutes depending on traffic, the road gets narrow in places and you have to stop at 'passing places' but it's a lovely drive down that side of the Loch and you get a nice view of Urquhart Castle

Parking was pretty plentiful. We were there in September and there was ample parking. Can't recall charge which means it wasn't expensive! Yes it's a circular walk- there and back again. I'd allow at least an hour... More
