For nearly 200 years a small team of dedicated islanders have worked here to create what is considered to be the most distinctive single malt in the world. Of course over time the people change, but our traditional methods, the ancient skills and absolute dedication to quality always remains. We would be proud if you make the journey to visit our home and you will be assured of the warmest of welcomes when you do.

We didn't have time to visit this distillery, but stopped in for a quick dram. The boy behind the bar was very friendly and helpful, and the visitor centre is fantastic! Definitely worth a stop even if it's only for 5 mins

We visited a number of distilleries on Islay but Laphroig was the outstanding one for us. We did the tour and tastings and had a great guide in Craig. He was very knowledgeable and friendly and had a real sense of humour too. We loved...More

Perhaps unsurprisingly, on Islay the memories of the distillery visits are apt to run one into another! I do remember thast, having bought a bottle, the non-drinking driver was given a minature to take away & try later.

We enjoyed festival day at Laphroaig. Chocolate and cheese pairings were really fun. We also signed up for our plot and received this month's rent.

Undoubtedly one of the 'top people's' whiskies which a visit here doesn't dispel. But it is a wonder that the least peaty of the Laphroig distillations 'Select', isn't promoted more, as the best known 10 year-old has too many parts per million of peat phenols...More

What airline did you use out of Glascow? Could you do this in one day? We only have a limited amount of time. Thanks for your help.

Flybe is the plane company that services Islay. It really depends on the flight times available. You'll probably have to arrive one day and leave the next.
