This was a comfortable pub with a warm welcome on a very cold day. I tried a bottle from the local brewery and thought it an excellent brew. My first port of call if I'm able to visit the island again.

Good spot for a few beer and to watch live football!! Bar was packed on the day we were in with a great atmosphere. Service from Tommy the barman was excellent. Decor is traditional old school Scottish pub.. Will definitely visit again next time in Rothesay...

Nice pub, lovely atmosphere with wonderful Bute ale. Try it. It is an old fashioned pub situated in the heart of the town.

Great wee bar, excellent locals. Pool table few dart boards and juke box, plenty of entertainment. The staff seem very friendly and welcoming especially Shirley was a pleasure meeting her. Will definitely be back on future trips to Rothesay.

Golfers Bar has definitely gone down hill since my last visit a few years back. It's the Wee things like our pints being poured but then nudged toward us by the bar tender causing them to spill some and leave the glasses sitting in a small puddle of beer. Anyway, won't be my first choice pub for a pint when... More

it was fantastic but some of the other punters were aggressive towards me.. Some guy called Kenny started cursing at me and calling numerous swear words, There was a guy called john junner { the daddy} as he called his self started dishing out a lot of rasial abuse by there colour of my skin.
