Overview
More
Conceived in 2014 by Aidan Canavan, a biologist by training, Bute Brew Co. is situated in the centre of Rothesay on the Isle of Bute. Our Brewery is open for visitors so you can come in and see how we make the beers, sample the beers in our bar and beer garden. You can also buy bottles to take home or as a fantastic gift for someone if your feeling generous! Our beer is available on draft or bottle in most of the pubs and restaurants around the island. We are also finding the demand is increasing and our beer is popping up in lots of pubs and off-licences around the country.

Despite living nearby I'd never actually been in the Bute Brew Co. before my cousins birthday get together. From the outside it looks quite small but inside is like a tardis. Lovely beer garden partially covered for our Scottish weather with various different seating areas...More

We thoroughly enjoyed our outing to the Bute Brew Company. It was a chilly evening following a rainy day with high winds, so we chose to sit indoors. Normally, the guests sit outside in a courtyard on picnic tables. That would have been great had...More

We were on a family weekend but managed to sneak away and visit the brewery. They had no tours on due to personal situations but the staff made a point of giving us a mini tour with as much information as they could (to be...More

Found this great craft brew house with help from locals. It’s the real deal, a work in progress as I had a peak into the most recent effort, a brew recycling the local bakery bread. Enjoyed a sampler featuring 5 yummy beers, all with character....More

I was visiting my two sons who still reside on the island and with Connor working in the brewery I decided to take a wander up to see what it was like and see my son in action. My immediate impression of the set up...More

Looking for things to do in Rothesay, we were very excited to discover a brewery. We booked a tour at the first opportunity. The tour was a very personal and informative experience; giving a much closer insight into how each different beer is brewed than...More

Nathan, a newbie staff member, did a great job of showing us around and giving us samples to try. Needless to say we bought some of the colourfully named wares (Cock In Your Beaver being one of the beers they make/sell), and very tasty they...More
