Visited here for a meal and a drink after staying at a local B&B. The food was good and hot, we both had a curry which was very plentiful and enjoyable. The décor of the pub needs brightening up

Convenient to our B&B we popped into the Rod and Reel for some dinner. I had fish and chips and my friend had chicken curry. Both portions were a decenct size especially for the appetites we had worked up walking. The decoration is a bit...More

The pub is very basic but makes up with the amazing large portions of tasty food. Great place for pub grub and ideally located for walkers.

My partner and I drove down here after a hill walk up Ben Ledi. We'd been hoping to try this place for a while. The restaurant part itself is fine - no frills but clean and cosy. We each ordered the steak pie dinner which...More

Called in after checking in to our B&B and took our drinks to sit outside. Despite being in March, it was very pleasant to sit watching the world go (slowly!) past.

... the service was both only just acceptable, and came without a hint of a smile or a welcome. Other than its location near to where we were staying I'm not sure that I would go back.

Stopped here as everywhere else was so busy. Should have realised why! The pub smelt of disinfectant so we ate outside. Greasy toasties but drinks fine.

Felt like a local : reasonable choice of drinks, typical expected menu, hearty portions, lively vibe, some regulars will talk to you and some won't, which is absolutely fine. I'd go back

Staying in Crianlarich overnight so we went to the local pub for tea. We chose steak pie and haddock. The food was piping hot and the portions were very generous for the price. The staff were very friendly and the pub very clean. Highly recommended.
