We made a stop for 30 minutes or so, after a drive up from England. We visited early evening, after a rain show, so the views were spectacular. There's a small fee for parking, and toilet facilities. You could argue any parking pays alongside Loch Lomond provide stunning views, and this is another. The pyramid is a great addition though.

Absolutely stunning. Very unassuming as you approach the wooden structure as the wow is at the front . We could have sat there hours just enjoying the peace and the incredible views. We were lucky as there was hard anyone about , not sure the experience would be the same at high tourist season ,

Parking was cheap, the walk was easy with fantastic views! My wife and I loved exploring this area. The sign about the power station was quite interesting as well.

The A82 offers many great places to stop on the route and this was one of the best. You get great views of the whole lake and the visitor centre also has toilets and a place to purchase food. A great rest stop.

An Ceann Mòr on the shores of Loch Lomond at Inveruglas Visitor Centre, is an art installation for the Scottish Scenic Routes project. Can’t say I think much of the art work, but it’s a useful platform for getting great views of Loch Lomond and the surrounding glens. There’s even a pair of defunct binoculars to puzzle visitors, but maybe that’s part of the art too esoteric for me to understand.

Go for the views, the art work wasn't my thing.

Beautiful architecture, in the form of a wooden Viewing Pyramid that then allows wonderful views across Loch Lomond.

Solid, steady stepped access via the purpose built path to the left from the car park. Therefore not suitable for prams/wheelchairs as such, but is only a gentle route so easily reachable for those without any mobility issues, even if elderly or not avid walkers.

But be fair if you enjoy it, and drop a coin or two in the charity donation support box just behind it.

We stopped at An Ceann Mor on our drive to Glasgow. Grab a snack at The Den and take in the stunning view of the loch. Parking was a bit chaotic but we were there on a holiday weekend.

We loved it! Finally we could stop and stretch our legs, while savoring the stunning scenery! There is a nice path around the Visitor's Center, perfect for relaxation. You can sit down inside the big observation structure and just watch the boats come and go along the Loch. Very peaceful, indeed!

If it wasn’t for the coaches dropping off/pick up for the ferry, you could easily think this was closed.

I had high expectations of An Ceann Mor, given the hype written about it. Unfortunately, the landmark is not maintained well - weeds have been allowed to grow quite high, so you can't actually see the Loch Lomond after walking through the tunnel structure. The only view of the Loch can be gained by climbing the structure and getting a view over the overgrown weeds. It is such a pity - it would only take someone a few minutes with a weed-wacker to clear the view, but there is obviously no staff or maintenance here in what looked like an abandoned tourist attraction - the Visitor Centre here is just a board of information. For an exorbitant car park price, a visit here is just not worth it. Plenty of better views of the Loch can be gained from along the road for free!!
