I love walking Beale Street and hearing the Blues. I also love that you can drink alcohol and walk around the neighborhood. Some very nice shops and restaurants. Only down side= way too many street beggars. I wish they could do something about this. Kinda...More

Beale Street twenty years ago was a much better place than it is today. Not so many live music places and pedestrianised. While we were there a night there are plenty of people, the local kids are doing jumping tricks for tips. But it is...More

This place is full of historical trivia and shops. Street is closed off so easy to walk both sides of the street. We ate at Blues City Cafe. It was reasonably priced and very good.

Same atmosphere as Bourbon St in New Orleans but with blues music. You can drink in the street. Everyone is carded so bring your ID. Girls in picture has a 100 ounce drink that was $32. Parking is in paid lots

We enjoyed our visit to Beale Stree... lots of security around, but it didn't stop a couple of beggars f/ approaching us. That kind of put a damper on the experience.

Absolutely fabulous. Atmosphere electric. Live music in most of the restaurants. Music on the streets. Interesting gift shops of all descriptions

A must see if you are visiting Mepmphis, particularly if you love live Blues. Many small venues, some outdoors, with live music.
