Myddfai Community Hall & Visitor Centre is a lottery funded state of the art Centre, built in 2011, set in the stunning Brecon Beacons National Park. It has huge hall, ideal for conferences, parties and Weddings as it now also has a Civil Ceremony Licence. There is a lovely café and gift shop at the Centre, both open 6 days a week (closed Mondays- but open Bank Holiday Mondays) There are several interpretation boards covering the History and Heritage of Myddfai village- covering the Physicians of Myddfai and the legend of 'The Lady of the Lake'. There are many lovely walks in the area and the beautiful St Michael's Church is just next door and definitely worth a visit.

My sister got married here and it was the most fantastic day. There was nothing Lesley and her team couldn't do for us and we felt very welcome. The space is fantastic and the facilities are second to none. Cannot recommend highly enough!

This is a little piece of heaven. Nestled in a quite village on the outskirts of the national park. The cafe is bright and clean with lots of delicious cakes and sandwiches to keep you going if you have been on a long walk. The shop is lovely with lots of unusual gifts. This is a gall that seems to... More

We held our wedding ceremony and reception at Myddfai Hall & Visitor Centre and it was absolutely perfect for us. The hall itself is gorgeous, it's modern, light and airy with beautiful wooden beams. We visited with family many times in the run up to the wedding and enjoyed lunch, tea and cake in the cafe, as well as enjoying... More

We expected to be able to learn more about herbs and potions, methods of healing and were quite disappointed.

Hello Joyful223, very sorry you were disappointed with your visitor experience here at Myddfai Community Hall & Visitor Centre. We do have a large display on the café wall and another in the lobby area, plus some more outside. We are however working on new display material with more information on herbal medicine and remedies. We have a number of... More

I was blown away by this place. I visited with a friend as we were interested in rural sustainability but it was such a great place for tourists and locals alike, really capturing all the elements of a sustainability project. It's good to see lottery funds are put to good use. The cafe food and service was great and I... More

We recently celebrated our wedding party at Myddfai town hall. The hall is spacious and light, easily hosting our 90 guests. The patio area outdoors and the café gave guests plenty of different areas to mingle. We particularly chose Myddfai for its location in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. We wanted to immerse our guests in this idyllic rural... More

I was directed here by a Welsh friend who lives near me in California. I went to pay respects to her family members who have passed in the local cemetary enver knowing how important this town is. The history of the healing physicians, known world wide at the time over a 1,000 years ago is enlightening and fascinating. A lovely... More
