The map that they give you would be better if they labelled every animal instead of using drawn pictures. I found it hard to find my way around the Zoo. It is very hilly so be prepared. Very clean and tidy and no animal smells. You can go into the Lemur enclosure and get up close which was fun for... More

£25.40 for 2 adults and child under 3. Great place to visit. Very compact. Can easily get around the whole area in half a day.Good parks for toddlers and older children. Can get very close to the animals. Much closer than Chester Zoo. The bird parade was entertaining seeing the penguins waddle across the field following the fish. The sea... More

I visited here with my 7 Year old niece. There was lots to see and do. Regular shows and feeding of the animals sessions were excellent, informative and entertaining. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Food and drink in the cafe seemed very expensive to me but otherwise, a great value for money day out.

The zoo was great and reasonably priced. There was plenty to do for all ages. had a great time. lovely location. The only really bad thing was the service in the canteen. It was the worst place I've ever been for food. It took half an hour to get two cheese sandwiches and 1 portion of chips brought to the... More

Visited here while staying in Towyn with my partner and his parents. It's well worth the visit and worth the entry fee. We took a picnic and had no problem leaving it in the car and going back to it halfway through the visit as the car park is never too far away from the displays. There's a good variety... More

It was a brilliant day not just walking around but the shows was good fun too. We took a picnic with us as their is plenty of places to picnic down. Wouldn't say it is very good for disabled as it has a lot of hills ( hence Welsh mountain zoo ). Car parking was guided by staff which is... More

We visited during the school Easter Holidays (2 adults and 2children). A fantastic zoo that is not over commercialised. The walkways around the zoo are through wooded areas and fields. The animals seem very happy in their surroundings. There is a big variety of animals. I couldn't believe the size of one of the alligators there and how close we... More

1st comment: £40 for a family of 4 (2A, 2C), what a bargain!!! Chester zoo was double this cost. The zoo, as its title would suggest, is on a mountain which does mean slopes to walk around, not so good for pushchairs/wheelchairs. There is plenty of parking available which is centrally based within the zoo site. The zoo has plenty... More

Visited easter Monday with wife and 3yr old boy (soon to be4). Was unsure what to expect as Chester zoo is on our door step.... Got there early and wasn't much waiting to get in- weather wasn't brilliant but it is a mountain zoo on a cliff face and it didn't spoil or put us off. They had a very... More

The bird of prey display was wonderful and so informative. The views out over the bay are amazing and we all had a wonderful walk... More
