We had limited time in the area and couldn't fit in Chester zoo but this place was a nice alternative. Much smaller but a good range of animal. Views across the bay were spectacular and we felt we had a good walk round the site (not so easy with buggy or wheelchair). The keepers were excellent - friendly and informative.... More

The Welsh Mountain Zoo is our local zoo and we visit quite often when family visit. It is a beautiful location and all of the family enjoy visiting it. On this visit however it was really cold for April, even the animals were feeling the cold as many did not make an appearance, they were huddled up inside their homes. This was... More

Went today with the family and we all enjoyed it. A full day out. The animals look healthy and the conservation projects are there to be seen. The staff show a real love for their jobs and the animals.

Great day out with my 7 and 5 year old! We were there for five hours and all had a great time. The sea lion show was brilliant and all the animals appear well cared for. It was £40 for a family of four which considering most family activities in snowdonia are at least £60+ for an hour for 4... More

We visited here in February 2017, whilst holidaying nearby. Our daughters first trip to a zoo (at 6 months old it largely passed her by!) and it was ok for a little wander round. If you are expecting something on the scale of Chester Zoo, then be prepared to be disappointed, its a couple of hours at best I would... More

It cost us £40 for a family of 4, we spent about 2 hours at the zoo. It was ok nothing spectacular. I would describe my experience as been there now don't need to go there again. That's all I got to say about the place really

Arrived at the zoo and paid £40 for a family ticket, which I did think was a little steep, however, I quickly became more concerned and shocked at the state the animals appeared to be in. They all seemed to be very docile and of poor health, enclosures were small and unkempt and none of the animals actually appeared to... More

They have a variety of animals from chimps to seals you can also see the pengiun march. Try it as it is on colwyn heights there are also far... More

Enjoyable day but mainly due to the lovely weather. Unfortunately the first stop was the toilets and this did somewhat mar the day. Dirty toilets, only hot taps working (very hot) and the drier not working. The animals appear well tended but in slighly shabby conditions. Enjoyable for a one off visit, unlikely to return.
