Beautiful place to visit and take the family
Jul 2021 • Family
Beautiful place a must have to visit location, please be aware parking is tight and the roads are very old, overall though there is much to explore and enjoy the whole area has outstanding beauty and lovely views from different vistas. I would recommend going early in the summer to avoid the heat. Don't forget to visit the ice cream shop right next door lovely.

Beautiful waterfall

We were on our way somewhere else and spotted a sign for the waterfall car park right next to waterfall plus a little cafe. There is an honesty box to enter 50p each. Such a lovely waterfall hidden in a place you wouldn’t expect it. Well worth the detour.

Amazing height
Sep 2021 • Solo
This waterfall drops from an amazing height into a trickling stream meandering through Dyserth. It is very pretty although I was disappointed that when walking along and up the paths you can't get anywhere near the water. There is an honesty box at the start to help keep the area tidy I guess. Lots of parking nearby.

Not a great trip.

Lovely little waterfall but currently not worth the visit. There is a sign saying bridge and stairs are closed but after checking with the cafe it was open so we proceeded.

Can see the waterfall from the bottom (writing 2-3 minutes) We climbed the 100-150 uneven steps (not too difficult tbh) but nothing at the top.

Turn left and just get back to main road, no lovely walk through the forest...

Turn right and so up a very steep slope only to get to a random swing and dead end. Turned around and came back down.

No access to the river at the top due to construction work. Which we knew this before going in. Not sure how long before these finish.

Car parking tiny, street parking not much better and have to walk on road to reach entrance as there is little walking paths. On bendy Road really dangerous with kids.

Cafe very basic. Not very good coffee... cakes and ice cream but the only hot food is hot dogs.

Lovely spot for a picnic with plenty of benches nearby a simply beautiful setting. Waterfall is right at entrance so suitable for all abilities can walk to top via steps to left and follow stream a short while if you wish to.

Amazing views!!
Aug 2021 • Family
Such a beautiful place. Absolutely stunning waterfall I wanted to swim in the pool but this was frowned upon 😂. The steps to the top seemed to get steeper. At the top I looked how long the walk was online and it suggested 10km and 3.5 hours so down the steps we went. Amazing views of the north Wales coast and countryside from the top of the hill. 50p per person admission but make sure you take change. There is an ice cream shop/ cafe near the gate but they won’t supply change for admission.

You cannot visit Dyserth without hearing and seeing the Waterfalls!

Very popular too, bit of a muddy climb to the top but nice views when you are up there.

Very nice

I don’t expect much from a waterfall so don’t understand the bad reviews here. It’s a nice little place, clean area around, car park is tiny but nothing you can do about it. Usually it’s quiet there and plenty of benches to sit down and have a break or a picnic. We like this place very much.

Room for Improvement
Aug 2021
Visited the first time at the beginning of August with my wife, son and his two young children.

It was a lovely hot summers day.

The extremely small car park was full, difficult to access with more vehicles entering whilst others reversing onto a busy and narrow winding road.

Once parked up further down the road, there was no walkway approach to the site. Difficult if disabled, large groups, children's safety.

Once on the site, beautiful view of the waterfall, large picnic area with a bin, wooden tables with benches and a small ice-cream parlour selling their own made products, hot/cold drinks, cakes and some basic hot snacks advertising free ketchup and onions.

After waiting about 5 minutes in the queue for a cup of coffee, I attempting to make a brief enquiry at the main entrance where I was abruptly ordered to go back to the queue, where I waited a further 10 minutes and paid £2.50 for a good large cup of coffee. At this point the young female server was polite.

The walk was interesting starting at the bottom of the water fall, a fairly short climb using steps, to reach the first level. Be prepared to meet oncoming descending visitors using the same very narrow staircase. Everyone was polite and friendly.

Many people seem to be asking what was ahead as there did seem to be some very interesting routes to investigate following a meandering river. Unfortunately, there were no signs or information as to the type of terrain you would be encountering. This was a little disappointing due to the dangers this may cause to the inexperienced.

We did come across a lovely open area where there was a rope swing hanging from a tree which children/adults could use to cross the fast flowing but fairly shallow water. I was not sure about the quality of the rope. There was also a high basic rope/wooden swing available for the smaller children. There were no visible safety signs or ground surface safety areas.

OK, the toilets. Rather cramped, very smelly requiring a bit of TLC, empty soap dispensers. Very surprising also especially with the present Covid situation. Advise to approach with caution and ignore the sign on the outside wall bragging the best toilets in the area some years ago. Wondering what the others were like :-(?

All in all, a pleasant experience that could have been much improved with more information all round.
