Easy to find, vast swathes of clean sand, no smelly seaweed, was a really hot day too, ended up coming back twice more, I’m not a beach person, but enjoyed it as there are none of the things that irk me.
£5 to park all day, that’s a good tenner cheaper than back in Kent, it was considerably cleaner and nicer too.
Lacked deck chair hire, bucket and spade shop, but just went out of and got them for the return visits.

Great beach, flat and clean when the tide is out. I visit every week and draw large 65 ft diameter sand circles.

Weather was glorious for time of year. Parked in car park and fee only 50p for 2 hours at this time of year. Toilets on front free of charge. Walked our dog all along promenade one way and then went onto beach. A lot of people doing the same thing but so much space to enjoy the fresh sea air etc.

We first went to Rhyl beach and thought it was ok place to walk our dogs but on discovering Prestatyn central beach we didn’t go back to Rhyl. Large open beach with plenty of space to stretch your legs places to eat and drink what more could I say.

Lovely beech that was not busy at all and runs for miles. Big downside for us however was that ridiculous council rule that dogs are not allowed on beech between March and September because some people dont like dogs. There is plenty of space to have a dog section but in typical council style a blanket ban with no thought. Didn't spoil it as there is a beech further down dogs can go on so not all lost just disappointing we couldn't use the beech nearest us.

Lovely beach, with rocks so the kids can look for crabs etc
There's a pub, an arcade, a park, ice-cream shop and a cafe.

Everything you would expect from a family friendly beach, plenty of food outlets close by selling everything from sweets, ice cream, takeaway coffee or a sit down meal. Lots of parking, toilets and even a children's play area.
The beach itself is vast and great for a long walk by the ocean or to sit and build sandcastles with the kids, plenty of little rock pools to explore and of course the sea to have a little paddle.
Perfect for families with small children and very accessible with a pushchair as there are lots of ramps for access.

I visited with my wife and two young children towards the end of January so the weather wasn't the best however we still really enjoyed ourselves the kids especially. The parking is very close by and reasonably priced. The beach is easy to access and the sand was fairly clean with a trip down to the water being safe and easy. The beach offers some great views and you can walk for hours along it. Food hot drinks and ice creams can be purchased close by. Well worth a visit if you're in Rhyl

We visited with an additional needs group. Easy access to the sand. The steps are a bonus for consuming sand free picnics. We put towels on the steps and it was a great place to sit and watch. The parking in very close by and reasonable price. The sand was quite clean and a trip down to the water was safe and easy. Coffee and ice creams can be purchased close by. Well worth a visit. Take some form of shade on very hot days.
