Much better than Rhyl beach
Oct 2021 • Couples
We first went to Rhyl beach and thought it was ok place to walk our dogs but on discovering Prestatyn central beach we didn’t go back to Rhyl. Large open beach with plenty of space to stretch your legs places to eat and drink what more could I say.

Dogs not welcome
Aug 2021 • Family
Lovely beech that was not busy at all and runs for miles. Big downside for us however was that ridiculous council rule that dogs are not allowed on beech between March and September because some people dont like dogs. There is plenty of space to have a dog section but in typical council style a blanket ban with no thought. Didn't spoil it as there is a beech further down dogs can go on so not all lost just disappointing we couldn't use the beech nearest us.

Lovely beach, with rocks so the kids can look for crabs etc
There's a pub, an arcade, a park, ice-cream shop and a cafe.

A great beach to walk off the dinner you have had in town
if the tide is out you can walk for miles on the clean sand

Great family friendly beach.
Aug 2020 • Family
Everything you would expect from a family friendly beach, plenty of food outlets close by selling everything from sweets, ice cream, takeaway coffee or a sit down meal. Lots of parking, toilets and even a children's play area.
The beach itself is vast and great for a long walk by the ocean or to sit and build sandcastles with the kids, plenty of little rock pools to explore and of course the sea to have a little paddle.
Perfect for families with small children and very accessible with a pushchair as there are lots of ramps for access.

A lovely Beach
Jan 2020
I visited with my wife and two young children towards the end of January so the weather wasn't the best however we still really enjoyed ourselves the kids especially. The parking is very close by and reasonably priced. The beach is easy to access and the sand was fairly clean with a trip down to the water being safe and easy. The beach offers some great views and you can walk for hours along it. Food hot drinks and ice creams can be purchased close by. Well worth a visit if you're in Rhyl

We visited with an additional needs group. Easy access to the sand. The steps are a bonus for consuming sand free picnics. We put towels on the steps and it was a great place to sit and watch. The parking in very close by and reasonable price. The sand was quite clean and a trip down to the water was safe and easy. Coffee and ice creams can be purchased close by. Well worth a visit. Take some form of shade on very hot days.

We really enjoyed our time here. It has been much improved since I last visited some years back. There are lots of little shops and activities to do now. There is also a really nice park.

Happy days

Great spot for the beach and to chill and relax in the sun. Great for the kids. Hot and cold food or drinks available nearby from the Nova centre or from the Waves cafe. Two minute walk for all the family to play crazy golf. Large pay and display carparks.

Height Barriers and Yellow Lines Prevented A Visit
Sep 2019
We were looking forward to exploring Prestatyn during our holiday in Wales but encountered parking problems like never before. We have a campervan and couldn't fit in any of the car-parks. Thought we would go for a roadside option instead but yellow lines everywhere saying 'No Parking from May to end of September'. Went somewhere else. Crazy.
