The reality of being incarcerated here and associated stories are well presented and akin to the work of Charles Dickens and then more! Whether you were prisoner or jailer the building is a pretty grim environment for all. After it was no longer a 'goal'...More

I have been a few times over the years but popped back for another look and it's a very moving experience because it's pretty much as it was. Plenty of clear information at points of interest to explain what went on here and the treatment...More

A fascinating step back in time to get a glimpse of what a Victorian gaol looked like on the inside, and how it functioned. Easy to find amongst the quite back streets of Beaumaris. Worth a visit.

Good family museum which is excellent value for money. Visited with parents, 13 year old, 9 year old, 5 year old and a 2 year-old. They all enjoyed this attraction with a couple of hours spent there.

I haven't seen any dogs inside the Gaol, but I cannot see any reason why they wouldn't be allowed in.
