Lots of information boards and lots of corridors to lose yourself in. Great views from the top. Not too busy even in the middle of August.

This is an imposing, semi-ruined, solidly built castle with a large central grassed area, 2 wall walks (inner and outer), various towers to climb, plus you can go along the inside of the inner wall and into various chambers and the chapel. It's mind-boggling to...More

This is well worth visiting if in Beaumaris. The castle has never been finished so basically it's just the walls to explore, but it's quite large and you can spend a few hours in here. It's not for an all day visit tho. There is...More

Visited Beaumaris en route to Holyhead and absolutely loved it. A proper castle with dark passageways, ramparts and turrets! My girls (7 and 10) thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Reasonably priced too.
