Visited with my children ages 8,10,12 and 14. Although rides do look up to date, to me it felt temporary and not like a an established funfair at all. I went to the old park a couple of years ago, as you walked around you felt that you were in a funfair, lots of ramps and sideshows, now very clinical.... More

I'm glad Barry has had a bit of a revamp; some rides are back and the beach is clean. However, there wasn't an awful lot to do there; the rides were overpriced and second rate. The main arcade is tatty (which awful toilets). It was all a bit cheap and bare to be honest.

Not bad for an hour or two as we were in the area. Clean and tidy, accessible beach and amusements for the kids. Pub near by..

The beach has been cleaned up and looked really picturesque and there were lots of families making use of it in the sunny weather. It was great to get a pot of cockles and mussels from one the stalls in the prom. We had a great walk and had ice cream at one the cafes near the front and it... More

The Pleasure Park has been revamped and brought back to a very high standard after years of neglect. I am confident large numbers of visitors will once again enjoy it this season

Place is a standard sea side town bit rough and run down. Didn't help the fact someone keyed my car the whole way round in the main car park...won't be returning.

Barry Island has always been special for my family. Sadly for many years The island was a poor old place but recently there has been a very effective re generation project and even though not fully completed it has visibly improved and is becoming much better. The beach is very good and always clean, there are very good Chippies for... More
