Taking a ferry directly from Circular Quay to Taronga Zoo, located in the suburb of Mosman, is the first unexpected joy of visiting the animal park. Once there, the leisurely trails and opportunity to see some of Australia's distinct wildlife become apparent, as does the striking view of the Harbour Bridge from the seating at the aerial bird show. Advance booking can give you the chance to see koalas up close, or stay overnight and 'camp' in the zoo.

Not a Zoo lover, but animal lover and this place does not make me happy. Wanted to see some local animals, but apart from a Koala and Wombat (in a dark, small cage) and some sleeping Kangaroo's, nothing exciting. All the animals live in small...More

Just loved every minute of our visit to this fantastic zoo. Amazing views, beautiful enclosures, easy walking tracks, scenic gondola ride, wowed over the seal and bird shows. Totally recommend a visit, would go again at a heartbeat.

I have been to the zoo several times in the past and have visited it again in August, 2017. Some changes detected, eg the lions were replaced by tigers and the Meerkats were boxed in glass enclosures. I went there on a weekday to avoid...More

Living in Sydney, we have a season pass, especially since there is so much to see that you can't do everything in one day!! Don't miss the bird show or the giraffes (with incredible views of Sydney Harbor). The seal show is also excellent! Another...More

We were really impressed with the Taronga Zoo. Such a huge variety of animals and clearly they're so well looked after. The bird show was my favourite, I'd never seen anything like that in my life. As an added bonus you get there in a...More

Very disappointed in the whole day! $78 discounted entry for us both! $18 for parking! The original entry is just a thoroughfare now as people wander around looking for the entry point. It us actually about 800 metres away to the right and down steps...More

Something you just have to do when in Sydney, the zoo is a short ferry ride from Sydney harbour. The views across the harbour and from vantage points at the zoo are spectacular. A range of animals including native Australian animals; koala, platypus, kangaroo. Had...More

Taronga Zoo distinguishes itself from other zoos by transporting all its guests via cable car upon entering the premises. This gives one an aerial view of all the exciting attractions the zoo has in store for guests such as its elephant and giraffe exhibits. Try...More

You can interact and even feed the Koalas at Wild Life Sydney for an additional price, I think it's around $20-50. It's at Darling Harbour so it's very accessible from CBD.
