Taking a ferry directly from Circular Quay to Taronga Zoo, located in the suburb of Mosman, is the first unexpected joy of visiting the animal park. Once there, the leisurely trails and opportunity to see some of Australia's distinct wildlife become apparent, as does the striking view of the Harbour Bridge from the seating at the aerial bird show. Advance booking can give you the chance to see koalas up close, or stay overnight and 'camp' in the zoo.

This must be one of the best zoos in the world, the many animals are well cared for, in beautiful harbour surroundings and it.s set in a tree lined pathways so there's shelter in the heat, The staff do demonstrations, there's food and a largish gift shop. Importantly Taronga Foundation's valuable scientific studies mean your dollar goes to an excellent... More

Absolutely loved this visit. Whilst working in Sydney we decided to take a trip here on a day off and we really weren't disappointed. You could walk by the wallabies and kangaroos and even have a photo with koalas. It was busy but not to the point you were unable to get a good look at everything. All the animals... More

Amazing day at the zoo, something we all looked forward to doing while we were on holidays. We loved the ferry ride over, the cable car to the top of the zoo. The day was everything we wished for and more. Young or old it's a must to do in Sydney.

So much to see and do! Lots of animals to see. The farm animal area is great with little kids. The extra experiences are well priced and so fun like feeding the giraffes and holding an owl. Check to see which areas are closed if you are looking for favourite animals, they often do upgrades to the environments and some... More

The giraffes have the most amazing view if Sydney Harbour. I caught the gondola to the top and then wandered my way down the hill back to the ferry. I love the kangaroo and koala areas and the nocturnal space. The Penguins at the bottom are delightful to watch. Very Australian with all the local animals and many international ones... More

Daughter asked if we could go back as the last visit was fleeting. Was a hot day but all services provided. Watering stations free. Suntan lotion, hats, food can be bought onsite. Animal exhibits good, plenty to see. Loved the bird show. Sky rail was a Godsend at end of day. Great views back into city. Need to go again.

Book your Koala meet up early. They sell out quick just meeting a Koala up close is worth the trip. Never mind the Giraffes, Gorillas and elephants that are amazing to see there are wallabies Emus and Roos too. A definite must stop especially by ferry.
