Well said Jeffry, These days are long gone (back breaking manual labour "I mean") BUT the State Coal Mine served a purpose and secured Victoria's rail system. Thanks for visiting Volunteers and staff.

Hi wouldnt recommend a stroller as its uneven in spots and gets a bit small inplaces depends on the child and if he/she gets frightened at one point they switch the lights off to show what it was like

Sorry for the late response. The walking into the mine is over a not very steep path. It is doable for sombody walking with a stick. As far I remember, there are no steps. The way up is with a mine-train.
