The cascades are soooooooooooo worth a visit. Not a long walk at all and so peaceful and pretty. The children and i loved clambering over the rocks, dipping our feet in the water and picnicing by the cascades. There are also other sections of the river where the children could play in the water which was so cool and fresh!... More

Fabulous place to camp. Great walks to The Waterfall & the Cascades & along the Murrindindi River. Some camping places have pit toilet some flushing toilets both fine. Greatest thing was that all camp sites have a provision to have a small campfire to cook on or sit around, just wonderful. (Obviously no fires on total fire ban days). We... More

This is a great place to spend the day. There are two waterfalls in the area, a suspension bridge and several well appointed picnic and camping areas along the Murrindindi River. The walk to the Murrindindi Cascades is quite easy. After you park the car in the car park and picnic area you walk back across the road and follow... More

Was there early May. Every time I visit this place it gets better and better. More camp sites, clear signage and just about each site has a fire pit and heavy duty swivel grill/hotplate. At the visitors section there is a good supply of firewood. See you there very soon. James

On our return journey home yesterday from Gough's Bay, visited Murrindindi National Park off the Melba Hwy. They have done a lot of work there since the bushfires that decimated the area some years ago. Regrowth is stunning. Very pleasant, clean, quiet, well set up tables and chairs and plenty of drop toilets to cater for a few days with... More

We stayed there over the new year for a few days. it was great. The camp site is well maintained, with some flushing but mostly pit toilets. There are also many picnic tables. There are fire pits at each site, of which there are a lot. No reservations, take your chances, but we had our pick of plenty of spaces. ... More

Only a few hours from Melbourne this reserve offers a range of site from basic/drop loos right through to flushing toilet blocks and sites with fire pits and tables. A variety of hikes and walks surround the area and the falls at Wilhelmina and Cascades will amaze the family. Most sites are $7 a night but first come first served... More

Years of family memories & camping in the area. Great to watch its growth since the fires of 2009. We find the peace and quiet the best thing. Nothing better than the tranquil sounds of nature and fresh drinkable water from the Murrindindi creek. Lots of native animals around such as Lyrebirds, Echidnas, Wombats, Lizards and more.

I've camped at Blackwoods camping spot in the Murrindindi Scenic Reserve a couple of times now. The campsites are great, with fire pits, room for tents and/or caravans and usually a rock-reinforced parking bay. There's flushing toilets at one end, and a few drop toilets scattered around. The reserve has several walks that you can go on. Or, if fly... More

Yea is a tiny place and the only reason to visit it is the scenic reserve. We were breaking our journey on our way to somewhere else and decided to stop in Yea overnight. We wandered about the scenic reserve all afternoon and saw loads of different wildlife. Every few yards there are information boards about what you might see... More
