Went to see Charlie Daniels at the Ryman Auditorium. Private Party for a convention that was held down the street at Music City Center. The Ryman is beautiful. It is kind of Church like in that the seating is all wooden benches like a fancy...More

It would have been worth the money if they had an event going on. $65 to tour really wasn't worth it. 5 and 2 were too young to appreciate this tour as they didn't have much going on.

Located just a block above Broadway, between 4th and 5th in Nashville is the Ryman. A lot of money was spent to spruce up the place and it's worth it too. I won't go into the history of the Ryman, you'll want to find that...More

There are some places you visit just because you can. This is one of those. If you appreciate roots of American music, this has to be on your bucket list

Family trip to see Martina McBride and Vince Gill. Bench seating is a little uncomfortable but the overall atmosphere is fantastic. Go to a performance there if you have the opportunity.

It's a cant miss ! Take the guided tour, the history is amazing - beautiful old home of the Grand Ole Opry, the country music community wouldn't let it be destroyed.

I've a bad back, so bad I have handicap designation. I understand I may "purchase" a pillow for the pew, but can I just bring my own?

Gosh, I really don't know the answer to your question. May I suggest calling them directly to ask?
What is the approximate length of time (on average) does it take to visit the Ryman via self-guided tour?

30 minutes is sufficient
I just went to order backstage tour tickets online and saw that there is a $4.75 service charge for each $30 ticket, which pretty much negates the $5 coupon I got by going to a show at the Grand Ole Opry last night. If I buy my tickets on site at the Ryman Auditorium, do I avoid paying this 16% service charge?

When I had backstage tickets for an India.Arie show, all the perks were included in the package deal.
